From years of extensive travelling around the Caribbean, we have put together a collection of our favourite Caribbean boutique hotels, each one occupying an ideal location in unspoilt parts of the West Indies. Our choices include small, privately owned, very special resorts, recommended for their uniqueness, their impeccable service, and their sumptuous food. Each of our boutique Caribbean hotels offers gorgeous locations and unrivalled serve to ensure that your stay is just the one you’ve been dreaming of.

From the EHC team!

  • The Atlantis Hotel

This boutique chic small hotel is set on the rugged and beautiful Atlantic coast of Barbados. Originally built in 1883, the property has recently been immaculately restored. The cool décor includes paintwork in muted shades with splashes of coloured fabrics and lots of wood. We love the gorgeous oversized rooms which directly overlook the ocean’s rolling surf. And not forgetting the restaurant where you will find the most delicious Caribbean food and great choice of wines, personally selected by the Australian owner.

  • Bequia Beach Hotel

Although this colonial style Boutique Hotel is a completely new build, its location is steeped in history, with tales from the swashbuckling days of Blue Beard and his pirates who created havoc sailing the Caribbean seas. It’s a true hideaway island, and a wonderful choice among boutique Caribbean hotels for visitors looking to go off the usual tourist track, yet with numerous exciting and different activities available, and great food.

  • The Calabash Hotel

Our love affair with The Calabash has lasted for many years and is in part due to the seductiveness of the prettiest of all Caribbean islands, Grenada, with its warm people, fabulous beaches and lush countryside. However, the appeal of this particular hotel is due to the fact that it is extremely well run by owner Leo Garbutt and General Manager Clive Barnes, with the focus on personal attention, which is what Caribbean boutique hotels are all about – service and vast amounts of character.

  • Cap Maison

A genuinely stylish boutique hotel with a vast amount of attention to detail, Cap Maison homes the largest villa suites in the Eastern Caribbean. Boutique hotels don’t come much more luxurious, and Cap Maison boasts unique private rooftop swimming pools and rock star amenities. Not to mention the fabulous walk in wine cellar, a luxury Sea Ray motor yacht and the famous Rock Maison – a rock out to sea with a champagne zip line. Cap Maison has everything dreams are made of.

  • Cobblers Cove

A 40 all-suite Caribbean boutique hotel that boarders gorgeous mature gardens and creates an intimate and very private setting. This privately owned property has been attracting discriminating UK visitors for many, many years, and we can see why. It is full of charm, offers impeccable service and has serves up arguably the finest cuisine on the West Coast of Barbados.

  • East Winds Inn

Set in 12 tropical acres of beautiful gardens, East Winds Inn is the perfect boutique hotel for discerning guests who are seeking relaxed yet elegant cottage style accommodation, low-key entertainment, outstanding cuisine with fine wines, and a charming, amiable management and staff.

  • Eden Rock

This exquisite resort goes far beyond just being a regular hotel – with a penchant for all things quirky, Eden Rock-St Barths displays flashes of colour in its décor, features unique pieces of art, and cuisine that will satisfy the most discerning guest. Eden Rock takes your breath away, but at the same time is relaxing and unstuffy. Just as it should be.

  • Jamaica Inn

Jamaica is one of the most naturally beautiful, diverse and popular destinations in the Caribbean, and Jamaica Inn allow its guests to enjoy all of the beauty of the island from a peaceful and relaxing haven. We love the fact that you can lose yourself in the stillness that surrounds the hotel, with no reminders of the outside world and just seemingly endless tranquillity.

  • Little Good Harbour

When you stay at Little Good Harbour it’s easy to see why we chose this to be in our boutique hotel collection. It certainly offers something a little different from the other boutique Caribbean hotels, particularly due to its location away from the bustle of the ever developing West Coast of Barbados. This 17th century fort has been carefully and tastefully restored with Balinese furnishings to create a superb ‘all-suite’ beachfront hotel.

  • Montpelier Plantation & Beach

This Relais & Chateaux hotel, once an 18th century sugar plantation, offers the best of both worlds to guests with both a hilltop and private beach location. Montpelier Plantation & Beach is a chic retreat among Caribbean boutique hotels, with just 16 gorgeous guest rooms, a fabulous Garden Suite, a stylish 2-bedroom Villa Suite and The Little House – considered to be one of the finest small luxury hotels in the Caribbean.
